The Class 321

The Class 321s are EMUs (Electric Multiple Units) That were built in 3 batches between 1989 and 1991. These trains have a standard 3 + 2 seating arrangement and come in units of 4 which are often connected to make 321/4, 321/8 & 321/12.

The Class 720

The Class 720 Aventra is a newer fleet of suburban trains mainly used on the GEML and close areas. These trains come in formations of 5 coaches which are often coupled to make 10 coach formations. They have air-conditioning, heated flooring, USB ports and plug sockets, disabled access, bike parking and much more! The one disadvantage of the seats is that they are rather uncomfortable compared to the Class 321s let alone the age comparison of the two.
